For county booking records, contact the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office Records & ID Division at 9621 Ridgehaven Court, San Diego, CA 92123, or call 858-974-2110. Public hours are weekdays from about 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a noon to 1:00 p.m. closure and holiday closures. For urgent custody confirmation, the county custody-information line is 619-409-5000. The official request page should be checked before travel because hours and access rules can change.
- For a booking record or possible releasable photo, use the county arrest hub and the Sheriff’s official request route.
- For a new booking, search Who’s In Jail or call the county custody line.
- For release or transfer notices, register through the county’s VINELink process.
- For what happened after booking, request the official Superior Court case record.
- For a person sentenced to state prison, use the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s CIRIS search.
- For federal prison or immigration custody, use the BOP or ICE locator because those systems are separate from the county jail.
